No single person knows all about anything leave alone many things and thats not possible also. When more and more people contribute bits of information they have, then we have a huge database which will be certainly more powerful than any individual's knowledge. Thats the philosophy of wiki, collaborative information rocks.
This wiki was created with the intention that one can find, share, and edit any information or details available regarding trekking, hiking, adventure, etc., so that a huge database can be created of reliable info (when 10 people say the same thing, then its certainly reliable) which you can look into before planning for a trek rather than search websites, mailing list, forum, etc., for small pieces of unreliable and often contradictory info (like someone's experience on her/his home page) which is time consuming.
Everybody wants to get info without bothering to spend a minute or two in sharing his/her knowledge and that is why there is lack of information.
Your help and contribution in adding information is severely needed and humbly requested.Instructions
